BACK NINE EQUESTRIAN
ABOUT ME
My name is Stephanie Merrell. As a kid, I was extremely blessed with the opportunity to grow up riding and showing quarter horses which gave me a very strong riding foundation. I now have a family of my own and we are back in Oklahoma after spending 11 years in Houston, Texas. During my time in Texas, a friend invited me to go fox hunting with her up in the Dallas area. It was an AMAZING experience and it was also my first introduction to the draft crosses. I have come to adore these horses and that is why you will always find a few here at the property. The temperaments and athletic ability of these horses is why I fell in love with them. When my family and I relocated back to Oklahoma we found a beautiful property in Claremore to call home. As soon as we laid eyes on it, I knew I wanted to create an environment that allowed for people to experience the beauty God has created. We built a large outdoor arena and several trails to enjoy where you will find some optional jumps along the way. I can't resist a good log jump! My goal is not to create a training facility for the show ring. I want Back Nine Equestrian to be a place the you can come learn, ride, and enjoy yourself no matter what your riding background is. We participate in some of the local shows around town and are involved in the Rogers County 4-H Horse club. You may see us in the show ring from time to time, but you will always find us having fun in the saddle on the Back Nine trails.
I do offer riding lessons to those looking to learn or just spend some quality time with horses. Some of horses you will find at Back Nine will be available from time to time for sale or lease.
